Rexall Place Tickets - It's Spring Time for Canada

March 1, 2010 by BrentWarnken

This spring, the Rexall Place isn't just home to the Edmonton Oilers but also welcomes a slew of mainstream names to its stadium for a season of fun. With the hometown favorites playing throughout the month of March (against teams like the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Blazers, Calgary Hitmen and the Ottawa Senators), hockey fans are going to be out in full force with their Oilers gear.

By early April, the Rexall Place makes a complete 180 turn as rough-housing fans turn into melodramatic ones when soft rock crooner John Mayer takes the stage April 4, and alternative rockers Muse will surely earn a standing ovation five days earlier on March 29. With all the action this season, you're never going to want to leave Edmonton, so pick up Rexall Place event tickets online today.

The Edmonton Oilers have been pushing themselves all season, and they aren't going to stop now. Taking on some of the best in the professional league, this Canadian hockey team shows its pride this season with victories galore. With a plethora of Stanley Cups in their past, most teams know not to mess with the Edmonton Oilers, especially when they rally the local fans during a game at the Rexall. While the 2009 season got off to a rocky start - no thanks to the trades done between Ottawa Senators' Dany Healey and forwards Andrew Cogilano, Dustin Penner and defensemen Ladislaw Smid - the team has been getting back on track for a round of home games this March.

The Rexall Place will take a turn, albeit to the disgruntlement of serious Oilers fans, as Muse takes over the venue March 29. Supporting the studio set The Resistance, this British trio finds success in their seventh studio set and third Warner Bros. release. Having recorded since the late '90s, this veteran progressive outfit really knows how to tour, and will be treating Edmonton fans to a showstopper.

Originally creating their material with Dangerous Records, Muse found crossover success when Black Holes and Revelations jumped over from the UK album charts to the U.S.'s Top 10. Touring in support of that 2006 release, the group earned international fame in the States, Australia, Southeast Asia and Europe and they continued to record. This past year Muse dedicated their efforts toward The Resistance, which heated up the Top 10 Billboard charts once again, peaking at number three.

While today John Mayer might be synonymous with anything but his soft rock jingles, for nearly a decade this Berklee School of Music dropout was all about his tunes. Today the self-proclaimed Twitter addict has found a way to remain in the public eye while simultaneously producing well-versed lyrics every three years. The latest to come from this Connecticut native is Battle Studies, his fifth studio album as a solo artist. Amid relationship rumors, Mayer released the first single "Who Says" to controversial remarks everywhere, though for fans it was everything they had always wanted for Mayer's repertoire. The set debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200, while his second single "Heartbreak Warfare" charted well on Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.
