This form of martial arts focuses on managing vital energy (ki) in the abdominal region of the body in order to overthow the enemy.
The art of aikido stresses attacking an enemy by way of special nerves which when pressed can beat the opponent without the danger of causing loss of life.
The Buffalo Bills have signed running back C.J. Spiller, the ninth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, to a five-year deal worth $25 million. The contract reportedly could max out at over $37 million, and $20.8 million is guaranteed. The team's selection of Spiller was a criticized one, as the Bills appeared to have more glaring needs heading into April's draft, but the speedy back will certainly help sell Buffalo Bills tickets from day one.
Spiller is a unique talent and was billed as the best running back in the 2010 class.
Heading into a big mid-August series with the Reds, the St. Louis Cardinals were sitting two games back of Cincinnati, a team that has been surpassing expectations all season long. Despite having more star power and far superior starting pitching, the Cardinals have had only brief stints atop the division and have constantly jockeyed back and forth with the relentless Cincinnati ballclub. But the Cardinals answered the call in a big way recently by sweeping the Reds in Cincinnati, making a clear statement to the rest of the division and league.
Here are some starting pitchers that haven't quite gotten the credit that they deserve this season. (Note: All statistics are as of Aug. 10.)
Adam Wainwright, St. Louis Cardinals: Wainwright probably sells a ton of MLB tickets in St. Louis, but the rest of the league is likely sleeping on him a bit. One could argue that he's been the best and most consistent pitcher in the bigs this season. His 2.07 ERA speaks for itself, as he's developed into one of the more reliable starting pitchers in either league.
With summer league in the books, we've got a better idea of what roles each of the top 10 picks in the 2010 NBA Draft will play this season.
John Wall, Point Guard, Washington Wizards: It's difficult to project how Wall will fit in with Gilbert Arenas, but he should be a focal point of the Washington offense. He'll be the starting point guard from day one, as Arenas will slide to the two. Wall will show his incredible speed and quickness, as he did in the summer league, but his shaky jumper could hurt him and he'll probably turn the ball over a lot.

Brett Anderson, Starting Pitcher, Oakland Athletics: Anderson came into the 2010 season with big expectations. He fared very well in 2009 after being called up and was a popular fantasy sleeper for 2010, but injuries have prevented him from being much of a factor. He's now healthy and looked sharp against the Royals, holding Kansas City to just three hits over seven innings.

Malcolm Floyd, San Diego Chargers: Floyd is the receiver that stands to benefit the most from Vincent Jackson's suspension and potential holdout. He's the kind of big target that quarterback Philip Rivers loves and could get the most targets in the San Diego offense outside of Antonio Gates.
